Research Topics and Results
From Rex community wiki
In creating a new system there are many questions and unknowns. Some blocks of time are specifically allocated for trying to answer these tough questions through analysis and prototyping.
Open Research Questions/Tasks
- Investigate MXP
- Investigate Sirikata
- Investigate our own real-time protocol
- Where to should threading be used to enhance responsiveness and scalability?
- How might client-side physics integrated?
- What new ways of interacting with the user can dramatically improve the quality of the experience?
Results
The description should be full enough to educate other team members on the highlights of your work, so that they may understand you, understand the direction of the whole project, and may be able to cooperate and render assistance when able.
The description should not be over-long, over-technical (for those who may not have your special expertise or experience), or disproportionate to the engineering work itself.
Result Format
- Statement of the Problem -- Why are we doing this?
- Existing Solutions -- Who else has had this problem and what did they do?
- Methods of Investigation -- How can we solve this problem?
- Results -- What did the investigation yield?
- Conclusions -- What do I think of the results?
- Recommendations and Future Directions -- What should we do with the results? What should be investigated next?
- Citations -- What resources did I use?
